‘How Will I Know’ / ‘Dancing on My Own’ Mash-Up - Zooash

Soo. Good.

(You’re welcome.)

Mamarazzi - Los Master Plus

This kept being played on the screens in between acts at Reventour in Guadalajara a couple of weeks ago.  Simply. Amazing.

Also, they have some mp3s for download on their site (for gratis!), including Spanish version of ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘One More Time.’  What are you waiting for?

Yelle - Safari Disco Club

From the iTunes comments:

“This was stuck in my head while I was throwing up at 3am last night.  It must be good.”

If that’s not a ringing endorsement, I don’t know what is.

On a related note, SO excited to see them in May!

Here I was, thinking I was so smart for discovering her earlier this week (with a little help from, Shazam, natch) via a commercial for Justified’s new season, when it turns out my friend Phuong had reblogged this a good 3 weeks ago.*  Guess that’s what I get for gchatting with him lately.

In any case, I’ve been listening to her music, and this song in particular, pretty much non-stop since downloading it a few days ago.

*I would have just reblogged it, but it was a more stripped down version of the song, and I prefer this one.

Ever since I saw Pirate Radio earlier this month, I’ve kept my eye out for a sweet vintage-y, transistor-esque radio.  So far I’ve found that Crosley has some pretty cute ones.
If only this one on the left had an auxiliary input for ipods, I’d be all over it!  Guess I’ll just have to save my pennies and wait for this guy on the right to come out!
I suppose an aux input isn’t quite in the spirit of old school transistor radios, but radio alone doesn’t quite cut it anymore.  Glad there’s at least one company out there combining vintage-y aesthetics with modern components.

Radiohead’s 01 and 10

My mind has officially been blown for the day.

It’s called 01 and 10…ok, it’s not really a lost album. But apparently if you take the first five songs from OK Computer (from 1997) and the first five songs from In Rainbows (from 2007) and alternate them, the songs fit together musically and lyrically to form a coherent album.
